SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Software solution provider Splunk announces that Yahoo has chosen to implement their analytics platform Hunk.

Hunk is the big data analytics platform with an intuitive dashboard, special capacity for analysis, visualization and exploring the options regarding data in Hadoop and NoSQL data stores and delivers desired results. Yahoo employees can leverage the power of Hunk for generating valuable insights from Splunk Hadoop environment which contains more than 600 petabytes of data.

Hunk is developed in a self-service fashion and will help Yahoo track system metrics from all of its clusters by region, visually browse complex tables, gain historical resource insights, improve data job Service Level Agreements (SLAs), cut down development cycles, and search and troubleshoot IT issues in the grid system in real time.
