James Kraemer, FounderData Intelligence Technologies is a software development company that specializes in producing innovative software and offering programmatic services to clients within the Intelligence Community. The company’s story revolves around tracking Terrorist Threats and Cyber Threats– which the intelligence community customers are most concerned about. Data Intelligence develops well-rounded solutions—from ingesting raw data to providing predictive analysis through working with data scientists for the Intelligence Community, answering their hard and oftentimes unforeseen analytic questions.
The firm offers an Entity Analytical Platform as a total cyber entity analytic solution. The platform is a social collaboration tool that enables analysts to collaborate around business data and relationships with the goal of linking together intelligence. The resulting analytical product is a knowledge graph, at cloud scale, which represents the customer’s unique data model integrated with search and discovery. With this platform, analysts are encouraged to build their own social and interest networks through tagging, mentions, timelines, and broadcast streams. The goal of social integration into the big data knowledge graph is to increase engagement and loyalty through the network effect. “Offering deep insights into social networks, behavioral dynamics, and information diffusion will help our customers to anticipate and solve problems of varying complexity and magnitude,” remarks James Kraemer, Founder of Data Intelligence.
Data Intelligence was started by offering solutions to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Though the firm was instrumental in solving their problems related to big data, new ones started to emerge. “We noticed that the Government was making similar attempts to repeatedly solve the same problem,” annotates the Founder. Sometimes they were successful, sometimes they were not, but the one common theme was the high cost to create custom software for their specific mission. To that end, Data Intelligence provided the Government with a solution that was dynamic and configurable to multiple mission requirements. “By providing our insights, expertise, technologies, and know-how, we will help customers effectively anticipate curveballs and knock them out of the park,” emphasizes Kraemer.

In addition to the continued refinement of its “Entity Analytical Platform,” the company has enhanced its cadre of technical talent to include domain experts on full-stack software development, system engineering and integration, and quality assurance. Additionally, Data Intelligence’s staff includes organizational and behavioral scientists who employ deep domain knowledge in individual, team, and enterprise level performance, decision making, influence strategies/tactics, and other forms of human-centered engagement. “Such an organizational makeup allows us to engage at a deep level with our clients to offer tailored solutions to help them achieve their specific objectives,” says Kraemer.
Within the coming year, Data Intelligence’s products and services will evolve into the Cyber and Behavioral Analytics realms. The company is focused on developing solutions for the Intelligence Community to answer hard and oftentimes unforeseen analytic questions. “We are working on Identity and Behavioral Analytics and building big-data simulations based on our customer’s unique data sets,” says Kraemer.
Data Intelligence believes that the future will lead to greater amounts of data and growth of the analytics to make sense of it all. With more and more companies emerging to build learning models around their data, the company plans to be part of the solution stack. Data Intelligence’s roadmap is to continue scaling its solutions to handle the exponential growth of real time data via its Data Intelligence Cloud.
